What I've Been Up to Lately

84/365: Watching my husband attempt to dig our car out of my parents' driveway. We ended up needing a few extra sets of hands. Thank goodness for friendly neighbors.

85/365: My dog is amazing.

87/365: Jimmy John's is so good to me. Unwich = Gluten free happiness.

88/365: Birthday present to my hubs. Awesome concert! Joshua James is good to his fans!

89/365: Saying good-bye to my sweet puppy before we leave for Detroit, Michigan. Also, doing homework. Always doing homework.
90/365: My favorite place in Detroit is Joe Louis Arena. Thanks to our amazing friend, Terry, we got to tour the locker room, walk out on the ice, and see Gordie Howe on his birthday! What a weekend! Still can't believe it.

91/365: Rediscovered this picture of Adam from when we first started dating.

92/365: Ruben, rug surfing through the dining room.

93/365: Trying to do homework at my house is a joke.

94/365: Watching the hubs play some hockey.

95/365: Celebrating warmer days by opening the windows.

96/365: First time using the mixer for some gluten free goodness.

97/365: The sunbathing basset is never satisfied.

98/365: Enjoying our first Bats game of the season at Louisville Slugger Field

99/365: New book from Sojourn Community Church.
100/365: Reunited with my front porch. So happy (and the pets, too).

101/365: Charlie after a nice walk.

102/365: Duncan doing a little cactus surfing.

103/365: This guy following me everywhere.

104/365: Love finding new (and delicious) gluten free snacks!

105/365: Rainbow after a storm...

...followed by the most delicious burger I have ever tasted.

106/365: The most ornery cat I've ever met. I took him for a walk once and now he spends his days trying to figure out how to get back outside.

Sorry for my major absence. 365 Projects are hard work! :) I'm getting excited as my first semester of grad school comes to a close. Although, I will be starting right back up with two summer classes. I need a nap just thinking about it. ;)

What have you been up to lately?

Snowy Sunday

83/365: Woke up to this:
...and my heart melted.  And then, as we made our way downstairs, Charlie discovered it had snowed.

He loves the snow.

I can't say that I hold the same love. But, I do like seeing him so happy. Enjoy your Sunday, friends! I am excited to have some lunch with my dad today. Traveling isn't always fun (although the hubs and I are working on making it more enjoyable), but seeing family is the best. Do you have any travel tips for long drives in the car? Our usual commute is three hours, but next week we will be making a seven hour trip (14 total!). So far, we like asking each other random questions and sometimes learning something new about one another. Seven hours of questions sounds a bit more like a punishment than an enjoyable car ride. ;)

Project 365 Update (AKA Pictures Of My Dog)

76/365: Watching Adam leave on a run. :)
77/365: Went to my first book reading and met the lovely Jenny Lawson (The Bloggess)! She is absolutely hysterical (and SO kind!!).  I'm really enjoying her book, Let's Pretend This Never Happened.

78/365: My husband built this awesome hockey-gear-holder. It usually terrifies me when I go down into the basement.

79/365: I love my dog.

80/365: I love his curiosity. It's. The. Cutest.
81/365: Here's some love for the nanny-dog, too. He also melts my heart.

82/365: Listening to goofy rap music on road trips home.

I think I may be a tad obsessed with my dog.  ;) His unconditional love is the best.  I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

62-75 of Project 365...Whew!

62/365: Rainbow Basset. Love my job!
63/365: Yum.

64/365: Finally brought my new (old) bike home. Come on warm weather!!

65/365: Took an evening walk on the Big Four Bridge. Definitely excited to do this again and again.

65/365: Warm weather = The Flea Off Market, cats in the windows, and one pooped pup.

66/365: My nanny kiddos got a new cereal...and I can eat it! :)

67/365: A sweet moment with all of my babies asleep together.
68/365: Straight hair and a newish hat.

69/365: Tacos with homemade spanish rice. (Not so) fun fact: I ate tacos 3 days in a row this week. Kind of over it (even though they were delicious).
70/365: "Rainbow Hair" (according to my kiddos). :)
71/365: Today I bought a mixer! What a sweet find from our favorite, Tickled Pink! (Yes, I've been cleaning the heck out of it to prevent any gluten issues.)

72/365: Charlie always sits on the kitchen mat when he comes in from the backyard. This was not something we taught him. He's so smart. Trying to make this "trick" work to our advantage. :)

73/365: It's almost beer making time in the Shaw house.

74/365: Spring is coming!! Arnold Palmers on the front porch and flowers in my yard. I'm a happy girl.

75/365: Making some fun changes around the house. :)
Have you ever done a 365 photo project before? I'm finding it quite difficult to keep up. My inspiration has actually taken a break from it herself. Of course, she has other blogging stuff that she's working on constantly. So, I guess it's understandable. :) Wondering though if I wanna call it quits on this or not. I enjoy sharing bits from my daily life, but I find myself pushing back other posts I want to make and then not posting at all. Decisions, decisions.
